Privacy
The short version: no accounts, no ad tracking, no selling data. Here's the full picture.
What we collect from you
The text of your searches, and your IP address. The IP is used for rate limiting (fair-use caps) and standard server logs. There are no user accounts, no advertising trackers, and no analytics cookies.
How searches are processed
To run a search, your search text is sent to the AI and web-search providers that power the tool (currently Anthropic for AI processing and Tavily/Brave for web search). Don't put personal or sensitive information in a search — it only needs a city and a type of shoot.
Where videographer information comes from
Everything shown about videographers — names, portfolios, work samples, contact details — is gathered live from publicly available web pages, the same pages you'd find with an ordinary web search. We don't maintain a private database of videographers, and we don't enrich results with non-public data.
If you're a videographer
If you appear in results and want something corrected, or want your site excluded from future searches, email hello@getvideographer.com and we'll sort it out.
Retention
Server logs and cached images are short-lived and rotate automatically. We don't build profiles of searchers.
Changes
We may update this policy; the current version always lives at this URL with its effective date above.
